Rabat — Transavia, a Dutch low-cost airline and a subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has announced new routes for summer 2026, with Morocco among the key destinations.
Beginning in April, travelers from Western France will have increased options to reach Marrakech, one of Morocco’s most popular tourist cities.
From Rennes–Bretagne Airport, Transavia will launch a new direct connection to Marrakech, operating twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays.
Ticket prices will start at €59 for a one-way trip. The carrier will also extend its seasonal Rennes–Marrakech flights from Brest–Bretagne Airport, which will now be available on Tuesdays and Saturdays from March 29 to October 31, with fares beginning at €54.
This expansion reflects the airline’s growing investment in Morocco – a market where it has steadily built its presence.
Transavia has become a key player in facilitating travel between France and Morocco. The company serves routes linking Paris, Lyon, Nantes, and other French cities to major Moroccan destinations such as Marrakech, Agadir, Fez, and Casablanca.
The airline has long stressed the strong demand for leisure travel to Morocco from both tourists drawn to its cultural landmarks and landscapes and the Moroccan diaspora in France.
With the new Rennes–Marrakech link, Transavia strengthens regional connectivity for western France, reducing reliance on Paris hubs.
The move is also expected to support Morocco’s tourism sector, which continues to attract European travelers seeking affordable direct flights.
