On Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Moroccan people celebrate the 27th anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, a national occasion that symbolizes the enduring bond between the Alaouite Throne and the Moroccan people.
Throne Day is one of Morocco’s most significant national celebrations, during which Moroccans at home and abroad reaffirm their loyalty and unwavering attachment to His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The occasion also reflects the unity of the nation around the Monarchy as a pillar of stability, security, and sustainable development.
On this occasion, the Archbishop of Tangier, Monsignor Emilio Rocha Grande, extended, on behalf of the Catholic Church in Morocco, his sincere congratulations and highest expressions of respect and appreciation to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The Catholic Church also expressed its profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for fostering an environment of peaceful coexistence, religious freedom, mutual respect, and interfaith dialogue.
