FIFA President Gianni Infantino has described his participation in Morocco’s Throne Day celebrations as a great honor, expressing his pride in joining His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan people during this important national occasion.

Infantino said that every visit to Morocco makes him feel as though he is returning home, highlighting the special place the Kingdom holds in his heart and praising the warm hospitality he consistently receives. He also emphasized the remarkable passion Moroccans have for football, describing it as one of the country’s greatest strengths.

The FIFA president noted that Morocco is making significant progress in its preparations to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal, stressing that the Kingdom possesses the infrastructure, organizational expertise, and enthusiastic fan base required to stage a world-class tournament.

Infantino expressed confidence that the 2030 World Cup would become the greatest edition in the competition’s history, arguing that Morocco’s participation, combined with the extraordinary atmosphere created by its football-loving supporters, will make the tournament a truly unforgettable global event.
