French coach Hervé Renard announced on Friday that he has been relieved of his duties as Saudi Arabia’s national team manager, just two months before the FIFA World Cup 2026, according to AFP.
Renard, who returned to the role in late 2024, confirmed his departure without providing further details, noting his experience in World Cup qualifiers and the 2022 edition.
His return followed the departure of Italian coach Roberto Mancini, who had led the team since 2023.
Despite qualifying for the World Cup, Renard was dismissed before the end of his contract, with no official announcement yet regarding his successor.
