GNV Morocco Names Carol Montarsolo as General Manager to Expand Regional Reach

    adminOctober 30, 2025

GNV Morocco has appointed Carol Montarsolo, 37, as its new General Manager, a move aimed at strengthening the Italian ferry operator’s presence in North Africa.

Montarsolo brings over a decade of experience in maritime transport and a strong background in strategy and digital marketing. She earned a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Genoa in 2012 and a Master’s in Digital Marketing from the London Business School in 2021.

Since joining GNV’s commercial team in 2014, Montarsolo has held key positions in sales, marketing, business development, and account management. Her work in Morocco has been pivotal, including overseeing the 2023 opening of offices in Tangier and Nador and collaborating closely with long-standing partner Mohamed Kabbaj.

“Carol’s appointment marks an important step for our operations in Morocco,” said Matteo Catani, CEO of GNV. “Her leadership and experience will be crucial as we continue to grow and navigate the market challenges ahead.”

Founded in 1992 and part of the MSC Group, GNV operates a fleet of 26 vessels across 33 routes in eight countries, connecting Italy, Spain, France, Albania, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, and Malta.
