Royal Gendarmerie Intercepts Truck in Suspected Drug Trafficking Case

    ayaJune 13, 2026

Royal Gendarmerie officers in the province of El Jadida carried out a security operation early Saturday that resulted in the interception of a truck suspected of being involved in drug trafficking activities.

According to available information, the driver allegedly failed to comply with orders to stop and continued driving along the highway toward Casablanca, prompting a coordinated pursuit involving several field units.

The vehicle was eventually intercepted in the Chouaibat area following a security operation conducted by the competent services.

A search of the truck led to the seizure of a quantity of cannabis resin, while the driver was taken into custody as part of the ongoing judicial investigation.

The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the full circumstances of the case and identify any additional individuals who may be connected to the operation.
