Members of the Moroccan community played a prominent role during the first two days of Eid al-Adha celebrations hosted by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran as part of a cultural program held under the theme “Ithra Eid: Moments We Share.”
Visitors engaged in a variety of cultural activities designed to reflect the spirit of Eid, including the serving of traditional Moroccan tea at the Plaza area, alongside fragrance experiences and cultural displays inspired by different regions and traditions.
Musical performances and traditional chants also formed part of the festivities, creating an atmosphere that recalled popular Eid customs and encouraged interaction among members of the Moroccan community living in Saudi Arabia.
Among the featured attractions was the “Eid at Grandmother’s House” experience, which recreated the atmosphere of traditional family gatherings and festive customs associated with the holiday. Interactive activities at the Children’s Museum also provided opportunities for families and young visitors to explore how Eid is celebrated in different cultures around the world.
According to the organizers, Moroccan participation contributed significantly to the multicultural character of the event, highlighting the role of cultural initiatives in fostering community engagement and strengthening connections between people from diverse backgrounds.
