Maroc Telecom surpasses 77 million customers as first-half 2026 revenue exceeds MAD 19 billion

    ayaJuly 23, 2026

Maroc Telecom Group delivered strong financial and commercial results during the first half of 2026, reporting consolidated revenue of more than MAD 19 billion, representing a 5.4% increase compared with the same period in 2025. The group’s customer base also exceeded 77 million subscribers, driven by the continued expansion of its African subsidiaries and growing demand for high-speed broadband services.

According to the company’s financial statement, revenue growth was supported by the strong performance of mobile data services, the expansion of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, the growth of wholesale activities in Morocco, and the sustained momentum of its Moov Africa subsidiaries.

In Morocco, revenue reached MAD 9.4 billion, up 2.2%, supported by a 1.4% increase in mobile services, 4.5% growth in fixed-line services, 12.3% growth in fixed broadband data, and a significant 20.2% increase in mobile data revenues.

International operations generated MAD 10.14 billion, representing a 7.5% increase, thanks to higher usage of mobile internet services, which rose by 12.5%, and mobile money services, which grew by 18.2%, offsetting declines in traditional voice and international call revenues.

The group’s total customer base exceeded 77 million, marking a 2.9% year-on-year increase, mainly driven by Moov Africa subsidiaries. In Morocco, Maroc Telecom serves approximately 18.52 million mobile subscribers, 1.63 million fixed-line customers, and more than 1.41 million fixed broadband subscribers.

Net income attributable to shareholders reached MAD 2.48 billion. The company noted that comparisons with 2025 are affected by exceptional income linked to an agreement with Wana Corporate. Excluding this one-off effect, net profit increased by 8.1%.

EBITDA reached approximately MAD 9.54 billion, up 5.1%, while maintaining a strong EBITDA margin of 50.2%. Adjusted operating cash flow rose to MAD 4.6 billion, and consolidated net debt stood at MAD 18.19 billion, equivalent to 0.9 times annual EBITDA, a level the company considers well under control.

Maroc Telecom stated that these results demonstrate the resilience of its business model and reaffirm its commitment to investing in next-generation broadband infrastructure, expanding shared network projects in Morocco, and strengthening digital and mobile financial services across its African operations.
