The Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) praised Morocco’s contribution to securing the 2026 FIFA World Cup, describing the Kingdom as a trusted strategic partner with extensive expertise in international security cooperation.
The remarks were made during a visit to the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC), where he met representatives of Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST).
The US official thanked Morocco for its active role in ensuring the security of the tournament, describing bilateral security cooperation as a successful model of international partnership.
He also stressed that intelligence sharing and multilateral coordination played a key role in safeguarding the competition, noting that several potential security threats were prevented thanks to cooperation with partner countries, particularly Morocco.
