The investment meeting, organized in Casablanca from 14 to 15 September, was marked by the presence of several Moroccan, Central African, Arab and foreign officials as well as diplomats and representatives of numerous financial institutions including the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, the European Union and United Nations.

In his opening address, CAR president lauded the “enlightened and exemplary leadership” of King Mohammed VI for a united and prosperous Africa.

He also spoke extensively on a new National Development Plan for the period 2024-2028 (NDP) and invited investors and partners to join the CAR people on the path to the country’s economic and social transformation.

Since the beginning of 2025, the CAR authorities have been encouraging private and institutional investors, as well as multilateral and bilateral partners, to finance the implementation of this NDP.

It focuses on human capital development, equitable access to basic social services, inclusive growth, good governance, strengthening security and environment protection.

Addressing the meeting, Moroccan finance minister Nadia Fettah said this event is evidence of Morocco’s commitment to South-South cooperation and co-development in Africa.

For his part, Central African minister of economy Richard Filakota stressed the importance of the Casablanca meeting in the promotion of the CAR development plan and thanked Morocco for engagement to encourage investors to support and help CAR people achieve their ambitions for progress and sustainable growth.
