Rabat — Police in Beni Mellal arrested a 32-year-old man Monday evening on suspicion of murder and arson to cover up the crime.
The suspect has multiple previous criminal convictions, according to authorities from the Regional Judicial Police Service of Beni Mellal Security.
Police discovered a body Saturday in a vacant area of the city. The victim had suffered serious physical assault and burns from a fire.
Officers immediately began examining the scene and launched an investigation.
