    Heatwave and Thunderstorms to Hit Moroccan Provinces

    A heatwave and a thunderstorm with hail and wind are expected to hit several provinces across Morocco.

    A new weather alert from the General Directorate of Meteorology said a heatwave will range between 40 and 44 degrees Celsius from Sunday and Monday.

    The heatwave will concern the provinces of Tata, Zagora, Khouribga, Ouezzane, Beni Mellal, and Fqih Ben Salah.

    The same weather will cover Meknes, El Hajeb, Fez, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, and Taza.

    From Tuesday and Wednesday, the same weather hit the provinces of Rehamna, El Kelaa Seraghna, Marrakech, Zagora, Taroudant, Taounate, Taza, Moulay Yacoub, Meknes, Fez, Fquih Ben Salah, and Beni Mellal.

    Temperatures ranging between 44 and 47 degrees will concern the provinces of Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, and Aousserd from Tuesday to Friday.

    Thunderstorms with hail and winds will, meanwhile, affect the provinces of Azilal, Figuig, Khenifra, Boulemane, Midelt, Tinghir, Errachidia, and Ifrane on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
