CAF has unveiled the full list of match officials chosen for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), set to take place from August 2 to 30 across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Among those selected, six Moroccans stand out.

Bouchra Karboubi and Mustapha Kechchaf appear as main referees, while Hamza Nassiri joins as an assistant referee.

VAR duties will include Samir Guezzaz, Hamza El Fariq, and Fatiha Jermoumi, all appointed as assistant VAR officials.

The list, published by CAF, includes 70 referees in total. 26 central referees, 26 assistants, and 18 dedicated to VAR, drawn from over 30 national associations.

All officials will arrive in the host countries before the start of the tournament for a preparatory program.

The training will include both theoretical sessions and fieldwork, with a focus on CAF protocols and video assistance procedures.

CHAN 2024 will kick off at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam and end in Nairobi at Moi International Sports Centre. Morocco, placed in Group A, will face Angola on August 3 in its opening match.

The national team will then meet Kenya on August 10 and Zambia on August 14, both at Nyayo Stadium.

The group stage will close with a match against the Democratic Republic of Congo on August 17, also at Nyayo.
