The Prime Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, on Tuesday, July 15, hosted Greece’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Georgios Gerapetritis, in a diplomatic engagement aimed at deepening bilateral cooperation. The high-level meeting focused on strengthening ties between Libya and Greece, particularly in the economic and public service sectors, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to mutual development and partnership.
Among the key issues discussed was the potential reopening of Greek airspace to Libyan aircraft, a move that could pave the way for the resumption of direct commercial flights between the two Mediterranean nations. The leaders underscored the importance of continued direct dialogue grounded in mutual respect for national sovereignty, signalling a shared desire to rebuild trust and foster long-term stability in regional relations.
