Dutch far-right politician Geert Wilders has called for the deportation of football fans of Moroccan origin and their families following unrest in The Hague after Morocco’s World Cup victory over the Netherlands.
His remarks came after Dutch police intervened in the Schilderswijk district, where several people were arrested for allegedly throwing fireworks and bottles at officers during post-match celebrations.
Posting on X, Wilders argued that those responsible should be arrested and deported, reiterating his long-standing hardline stance on immigration and public order.
