Platforms owned by Meta Platforms experienced a widespread technical disruption on Tuesday evening, affecting services operated by Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
Users reported difficulties accessing their accounts, refreshing feeds, publishing content and sending or receiving messages, while others experienced partial interruptions of certain platform features.
At the same time, outage-monitoring websites recorded a significant increase in incident reports, with users from multiple countries describing similar problems during the same period.
As of now, Meta has not released a detailed statement explaining the cause of the disruption or providing a timeline for the full restoration of services.
The incident follows other service interruptions that affected several Meta platforms earlier this month before operations gradually returned to normal.
