    ayaJune 19, 2026

The Moroccan Royal Family and the Moroccan people are commemorating the 56th birthday of His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid on June 20, an occasion that highlights key milestones in his academic, institutional, cultural, and sporting activities over the years.

Born in Rabat on June 20, 1970, Prince Moulay Rachid pursued his studies in the Moroccan capital, earning a degree in Public Law with a specialization in Internal Administration in 1993, in addition to a diploma in Comparative Law with high honors. He later continued his academic career by obtaining a postgraduate degree in International Relations in 1996.

In 2001, Prince Moulay Rachid completed his doctoral studies in Law at the University of Bordeaux in France, receiving the distinction of “Very Honorable with Congratulations and Special Recommendation for Publication” for his dissertation on the Organization of the Islamic Conference as a specialized international organization.

Prince Moulay Rachid has long been involved in cultural, social, and sporting initiatives. He has chaired the Moroccan National Scouting Federation since 1997 and currently presides over several institutions, including the Royal Moroccan Federation for Hunting Shooting, the Marrakech International Film Festival Foundation, the Hassan II Golf Trophy Association, and the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation.

Over the years, he has overseen and attended numerous national and international events and has represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at various official occasions, contributing to Morocco’s presence on regional and international stages.

In recent months, Prince Moulay Rachid has chaired several major events, including the awards ceremony of the 50th Hassan II Golf Trophy and the 29th Lalla Meryem Cup in Rabat, as well as the opening of the 18th International Agricultural Exhibition in Meknes. He has also presided over a number of sporting and cultural events held across the Kingdom.

The 56th anniversary of Prince Moulay Rachid’s birth offers an opportunity to reflect on his academic journey, official responsibilities, and participation in various national and international activities throughout the years.
