Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security announced that coordinated security operations carried out in cooperation with territorial surveillance services resulted in the arrest of 11 individuals in the cities of Tangier and Marrakech.
According to an official statement, database checks conducted through Interpol revealed that ten of those arrested were the subject of international red notices issued at the request of judicial authorities in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The statement indicated that the individuals were being sought in connection with various judicial investigations handled by the competent authorities in those countries. In addition, one French national was found to be the subject of a national arrest warrant issued by Morocco’s National Judicial Police Brigade.
Search operations conducted as part of the intervention led to the seizure of several vehicles, luxury motorcycles, watches, cash in local and foreign currencies, bank cards, mobile phones and various documents.
All suspects were placed under the appropriate legal procedures under the supervision of the competent public prosecutors, while investigations continue to establish all relevant circumstances and process requests related to international judicial cooperation in accordance with Moroccan law.
