Customs officers, in coordination with national police services operating at Tangier Med Port, thwarted an attempt on Thursday, June 4, 2026, to introduce a significant quantity of hybrid cannabis seeds, following a control and inspection operation carried out at the port facility.
According to available information, the seeds had been carefully concealed inside packaging intended for food products and were being transported in a utility vehicle, prompting authorities to conduct a detailed inspection.
The operation resulted in the seizure of several varieties of hybrid cannabis seeds, including Nicole Kush, Garlotti, Mimosa, Lemon Sherbet, Forbidden Fruit, Tropicana Cherry and Organic Hemp Seeds.
Following the seizure, the legally required procedures were initiated under the supervision of the competent authorities in order to determine the circumstances surrounding the case and identify all related aspects of the operation.
