Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport handled a total of 872,341 passengers by the end of April 2026, compared with 782,377 travelers during the same period in 2025, according to statistics released by the National Airports Office.
The figures represent an annual increase of 11.5 percent in passenger traffic, highlighting the continued growth of one of northern Morocco’s key air transport hubs.
International routes accounted for the largest share of passenger traffic, with 799,357 travelers, marking a 12.2 percent increase compared with the same period last year. Domestic flights carried 72,984 passengers, reflecting growth of nearly 4 percent.
Aircraft movements also increased significantly, reaching 6,945 operations by the end of April 2026, compared with 6,170 during the first four months of 2025, an increase of 12.5 percent.
During April alone, the airport welcomed 272,864 passengers, up 10.5 percent from the 246,793 travelers recorded in April 2025.
Nationally, Moroccan airports handled 12,336,962 passengers by the end of April 2026, representing year-on-year growth of 9.7 percent, according to the latest official data.
