The Court of First Instance in Temara witnessed, on Wednesday morning, a knife attack targeting a lawyer inside the facility’s parking area, according to preliminary information indicating that three unidentified individuals were involved and fled immediately after the incident.
According to the same sources, the suspects were armed with bladed weapons and wore helmets that concealed their identities, making it difficult to identify them during the attack within the courthouse premises.
The assault resulted in injuries of varying severity to the lawyer, who reportedly attempted to resist the attackers, before being transferred to a hospital to receive necessary treatment, while no official details have been released regarding the nature of the injuries.
Following the incident, police units arrived at the scene and launched search operations in the vicinity of the courthouse and nearby areas, as part of ongoing investigations aimed at determining the circumstances of the attack and identifying those involved.
The incident triggered a state of alert around the Temara court, given its seriousness and the fact that it occurred within a space that is typically subject to security measures.
