The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a weather alert forecasting locally heavy thunderstorms accompanied by strong wind gusts and hail on Monday and Tuesday across several regions of the country, under an orange-level alert.
According to the same source, the rainfall will affect the provinces of Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Khenifra, Khouribga, Fquih Ben Salah, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Settat, Marrakech, Kelaat Sraghna, Al Haouz, and Rehamna, with expected precipitation ranging between 30 and 40 mm, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Monday.
The same weather conditions are also expected in the provinces of Chefchaouen, Al Hoceima, Driouch, Taza, and Taounate, with rainfall ranging between 25 and 30 mm, from 6:00 p.m. on Monday until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
