Authorities in Casablanca have decided to ban the rental of beach umbrellas and chairs, while introducing free public access during the summer season.
The decision follows complaints from beachgoers regarding the use and management of certain beaches, including Ain Diab and Lalla Meryem.
It also includes the suspension of tenders related to beach operations, aiming to reorganize the sector and protect public maritime space.
The move reflects a shift toward improving access and maintaining the public nature of coastal areas.
