The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that the first day of Rabii II 1447 in the Hijri calendar will fall on Wednesday, September 24.

In a statement released Monday evening, the ministry said its delegates, along with units of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), confirmed that the crescent moon marking the new month was not sighted.

As a result, the month of Rabii I will run for 30 days, with Rabii II beginning on September 24.

The ministry concluded its statement with prayers for King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, asking that God grant him blessings and success.

It also extended prayers for Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Royal Family, as well as for progress and prosperity for the Moroccan people and the wider Islamic community.
