Libyan and Turkish officials convened in Ankara to address the settlement of longstanding contracts signed before 2011, alongside evaluating those signed in 2024 and 2025.

The joint working group also focused on creating a practical roadmap to revive stalled development projects, aiming to enhance the stability of ongoing and future bilateral efforts.

The meeting emphasized the importance of building on this economic momentum to deepen strategic cooperation. Discussions included the development of existing ventures and the promotion of new investments in key sectors such as infrastructure, trade, industry, and contracting.

High-level representatives from both countries attended, including Libya’s Minister of Transportation Mohammed Al-Shahoubi and Turkey’s Minister of Trade Omer Bolat, reflecting the significance both sides place on strengthening their economic partnership.

Trade between the two nations has shown strong growth, with a 31% increase recorded in the first eight months of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
