Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has officially inaugurated its new direct route between Casablanca and N’Djamena, Chad’s capital, further strengthening its strategic presence across the African continent.

The inaugural flight departed from Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca at 11:40 p.m. local time and landed at N’Djamena International Airport at 5:05 a.m. local time, RAM said in a statement.

The new service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, bringing RAM’s African network to a total of 29 direct routes.

The launch responds to growing demand from customers based in Chad, particularly for onward connections to Europe and the Americas via Casablanca.

In a statement, RAM Chairman and CEO Hamid Addou emphasized the significance of the new route which would reinforce Casablanca’s role as a major hub.

In addition to the N’Djamena launch, RAM has also inaugurated its new direct service to Zurich. The Zurich–Casablanca route is expected to bolster connectivity between Morocco and Switzerland, catering to both business and leisure travelers.
