Rabat – Morocco’s ambassador to the US, Youssef Amrani, commended the inauguration of the US Global Hub of Mohamed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in New York.

Amrani attended the inauguration ceremony of the UM6P new hub in the US on Monday.

He said the new U hub from UM6P in the US will help strengthen ties between Morocco, Africa, and the Americas, emphasizing the importance of the new platform to connect African talent and global research ecosystems.

“This is not just a university initiative, but also an investment in human capital and collaboration,” the ambassador said during the inauguration ceremony.

Amrani said the opening of the new global hub also serves as a crossroads of cultures, ideas, and talent, allowing “even stronger bridges between the United States and Morocco.

In addition, its new hub in New York, UM6P, also has a similar platform in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The goal is to create opportunities for joint research projects and academic exchanges in addition to strengthening existing collaborations with American universities and institutions.

In his inauguration ceremony speech, UM6P President Hicham El Habti said the initiative reflects the university’s commitment to building sustainable collaboration between Africa and the global innovation ecosystems.

He said the hub will serve as a two-way bridge, allowing and facilitating the deployment of American innovations within African contexts.
