Marrakech – The National Brigade of Judicial Police (BNPJ) has presented six individuals before the public prosecutor’s office in Casablanca for their alleged involvement in a criminal network specializing in theft and receiving goods from an armed robbery committed on French territory, according to security sources.
Based on preliminary investigation findings, technical investigations conducted by the BNPJ led to the seizure of 31 mobile phones from an armed attack carried out last February in France, which targeted a store belonging to a mobile phone distribution company.
Operations conducted as part of this case also resulted in the arrest of two merchants in Marrakech and Rabat, as well as four other individuals for their presumed involvement in possessing, trafficking, and selling stolen mobile phones from the armed robbery committed in France.
Authorities also confiscated several smuggled electronic devices of suspicious ownership during the operation.
All suspects have been presented to the public prosecutor following the completion of the investigation.
According to the official statement, the case falls within the framework of bilateral security cooperation and mutual coordination between the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) and the French National Police.
