TotalEnergies transfers its French-speaking call centre from Belgium to Morocco – The North Africa Post

    adminAugust 27, 2025

    [ad_1]

TotalEnergies has decided to transfer its French-speaking customer service operations from Belgium to Morocco by end of 2025 within the frame of its delocalisation strategy to keep up with growing global business competition.

The giant energy company has also informed the Liège-based call centre Ikanbi, Belgium, that it will not renew its contract set to expire on 31 December 2025.

French-language customer calls will be redirected to Morocco, while Dutch calls will remain in Belgium but will no longer be handled by Ikanbi.

TotalEnergies announced a phased transition until March 2026 to ensure continuity in customer service while the transfer of operations gets underway.

The socialist trade union FGTB has criticized the decision, and warned that other large companies could follow TotalEnergies’ lead to reduce operational costs and increase benefits.
