Rabat – Morocco’s head coach, Tarik Sektioui, is well prepared for the game against Kenya as part of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

In a pre-match conference, Sektioui said he wants Morocco’s team to play with the same confidence and determination deployed throughout the tournament.

“Our main goal is to get past the first round, and that means winning against Kenya,” he said.

He added that the game will be tough, asking his players to give everything on the pitch for 90 minutes.

“All the players in the national team have the abilities and bring added value to the group’s play,” the coach said.

Aware of the importance of the game, Sektioui acknowledged that today’s assignment is a tough one. “Kenya has played well in their matches,” he said.

Today’s game will kick off at 1 p.m. Moroccan time. beIN Sports 3 and beIN Sports 6 will air the game.

Like Sektioui, Moroccan player Oussama Lamlioui is also expecting a difficult game as Kenya is hosting the match at home.

“The match will be difficult because we will be playing the host country, which will be more motivated by its crowd, but we have prepared well to start this match strongly,” Lamlioui said.

He also reassured Moroccans that preparations for this game went well.

“We are ready to make a difference. We will give our maximum in this match and secure three points of victory,” he concluded.

Kenya’s coach Benni McCarthy is also aware of Morocco’s strength.

He described Morocco’s unbeaten squad as strong and well-organized.

“The match will be tough against one of the best teams not only in our group but in the entire championship,” he said.
