Ghizlane Chebbak, captain of the Atlas Lionesses, has won the Golden Boot of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON Morocco 2024), which concluded Saturday at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat at a final that opposed Morocco to Nigeria’s Super Falcons.

Ghizlane Chebbak had already received this award in the previous edition, where she was also named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) thanks to her three goals. She then shared the Golden Boot with Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade and South Africa’s Hildah Magaia.

In the final held Saturday evening, in the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and President of the Confederation of African Football Patrice Motsepe, Nigeria’s team claimed their 10th Africa Cup of Nations title, overcoming a two-goal deficit to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in a dramatic final.
