Rabat – Nine-year-old Adam has earned international recognition after clinching second place in the programming category at the International Science and Technology Olympiad (STEM), held recently in Barcelona, Spain.

As the sole Moroccan representative in his age group, Adam stood out among young participants from across the globe, proudly raising the Moroccan flag on an international stage and showcasing the remarkable capabilities of the country’s rising generation.

Adam’s success reflects not only his academic excellence and passion for coding but also the critical role played by the Moroccan Center for Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (CMRIA), which supported and mentored him throughout his journey. The center focuses on identifying and nurturing young talent in the fields of robotics, programming, and artificial intelligence.

“This achievement is a bright signal for Morocco’s scientific and technological future,” said Elyas El Moutawakkil, a representative of CMRIA. “Adam’s story will inspire other children to believe in their potential and embrace the world of innovation.”

El Moutawakkil explained that CMRIA welcomes initiatives aiming to spotlight these success stories, offering full support to facilitate interviews and public engagement with Adam and his family to spread a message of hope and ambition.

Adam’s win serves as a call to action for institutions, educators, and the broader community to invest in young talent and empower the next generation to thrive in global tech and innovation arenas.
