A driving school in Tangier has come under scrutiny after a number of trainees and their parents raised complaints concerning what they described as a failure by the institution’s management to fulfill commitments related to training services, prompting them to resort to legal procedures to seek the recovery of amounts they had previously paid.
According to a legal notice reviewed by the newspaper, four individuals claiming to have been affected sent a formal notice through a judicial officer to the owner of the institution on August 3, 2026. They requested the reimbursement of their registration fees within ten days of receiving the notice, following several months of attempts to resolve the matter amicably which, they said, failed to produce any result.
The signatories of the notice said they had repeatedly received, according to their account, promises that their outstanding amounts would be reimbursed, before deciding to pursue legal avenues. They also indicated that they were prepared to initiate legal proceedings to recover the money paid and seek compensation for damages they believe they have suffered.
