The fifth edition of the Tangier Summer International Festival came to a close on Friday evening, July 31, 2026, following four days of artistic, cultural, and heritage activities held at Bab Al Marsa Square (Old Bab Diwana). The event attracted a large audience as part of the celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of the Enthronement Day of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The closing night began with a traditional Gnawa performance led by Maâlem Abdelkader Haddada, followed by performances from Cherifa Hassan, Mohamed El Arabi Sistema, Yasser Imad, Hamza Sanhaji, and Kamilia Chibi. The program blended Moroccan musical heritage with modern performances, creating a vibrant atmosphere and strong audience engagement.
The festival concluded with a performance by renowned Moroccan singer Saida Charaf, whose concert received an enthusiastic response from attendees gathered in a festive setting marked by national flags and celebrations of Throne Day.
The successful fifth edition further reinforced the festival’s growing reputation as one of Tangier’s leading cultural events, highlighting its commitment to preserving Moroccan heritage while embracing diverse musical styles and enriching the city’s cultural scene during the summer season.
