Authorities in Tangier have initiated legal proceedings after the owner of a vehicle filed a complaint with the Public Prosecutor, alleging that his car disappeared after being handed over to a mechanic for repair.
According to the available information, the owner of a Volkswagen Touareg said he entrusted the vehicle to the mechanic for maintenance work. He later learned, based on accounts from several individuals, that the vehicle had allegedly been seen being driven around different parts of the city without his knowledge or consent.
The complainant stated that he requested the return of the vehicle, but the mechanic reportedly claimed that it had already been handed back to him. The owner disputes this account, maintaining that the vehicle has never been returned and that its whereabouts remain unknown.
The vehicle owner subsequently filed an official complaint with the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office. A judicial investigation is currently underway under the supervision of the competent prosecution authority to establish the circumstances of the case and determine any legal responsibilities.
The owner has also appealed to anyone with information about the black Volkswagen Touareg, bearing registration number 422362 WW, to notify the competent authorities in order to assist in locating the vehicle.
