The city of Tangier woke up on Thursday morning to the news of a tragic incident in the Hajriyine district that resulted in the death of the brother of the owner of one of the city’s best-known seafood restaurants, as well as the death of the owner’s son. The circumstances surrounding the case remain under judicial investigation supervised by the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office.
According to preliminary information, the restaurant owner’s brother was found dead inside the family home, while the owner’s son died after falling from the roof of the house. Initial indications and possible scenarios remain subject to the outcome of the ongoing investigation, and no official conclusions have been announced at this stage.
Following notification of the incident, members of the Royal Gendarmerie, local authorities, and forensic police arrived at the scene, where they secured the area, conducted forensic examinations, collected evidence, and interviewed several individuals whose statements may help clarify the circumstances of the case.
The bodies of both deceased individuals were transferred to the morgue for court-ordered autopsies aimed at determining the exact causes of death and supporting the ongoing judicial investigation.
