The Northern Branch of the Association of Engineers of the Mohammadia School (AIEM North) held its Elective General Assembly on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Tangier, under the chairmanship of Mohammed Smouni, President of the Association, to renew its regional governing bodies and review the achievements of the 2022-2026 mandate.
The meeting opened with remarks by outgoing Secretary General Rabie El Khamlichi, who presented the branch’s main accomplishments before submitting the activity report. The financial report was presented by Abdelmoula Benmbarek, and both reports were unanimously approved by the General Assembly.
According to the activity report, AIEM North organized 16 events during the four-year mandate, attracting a total of 709 participants. These included eight scientific conferences and professional meetings, two specialized training sessions, two technical field visits and four “Ramadan Iftar & Debate” gatherings aimed at strengthening professional networking and knowledge sharing among EMI engineers.
Participants highlighted the branch’s contribution to discussions on territorial development, industry, innovation and sustainable transition, while reinforcing the professional network of Mohammadia School engineering graduates.
The General Assembly also unanimously elected a new Regional Executive Board composed of Kaoutar Bennis, Abdelmoula Benmbarek, Bilal Bouhmouch, Mohamed Saïd Hamzaoui, Saïd Houhou, Mohammed Karim Jibet, Rabie El Khamlichi as Secretary General, Hanae El Ghaffari, Zohra Raissouni, Abderrahmane Temlali and Mohamed Azzdine Tika.
Closing the meeting, Mohammed Smouni praised the strong momentum achieved by AIEM North and emphasized the strategic role of regional branches in implementing the association’s vision based on excellence, innovation, solidarity among engineers and the mobilization of expertise to support Morocco’s sustainable development.
