Azerbaijan has reaffirmed its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity while expressing its commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors including energy, investment, transport, and logistics.
In an interview, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Nazim Samadov, said relations between Rabat and Baku are built on mutual respect, trust, and reciprocal support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both countries.
He described Morocco as a strategic partner and a gateway to Africa thanks to its geographic position, regional influence, and modern infrastructure, highlighting the strategic role that the Tangier Med Port could play in connecting global supply chains through the “Middle Corridor” promoted by Azerbaijan.
The ambassador also pointed to promising prospects for cooperation in renewable and conventional energy, investment, tourism, and trade, while noting ongoing efforts to conclude a bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement aimed at strengthening economic ties between the two countries.
