Morocco’s Airports Welcome More Than 18.8 Million Passengers in the First Half of 2026

    ayaJuly 16, 2026

Morocco’s airports continued their strong growth during the first half of 2026, handling 18,831,461 passengers, an increase of 8.83 percent compared with the same period in 2025, according to figures released by the National Airports Office (ONDA).

The sustained growth reflects the continued expansion of Morocco’s air transport sector, driven by rising travel demand, growing tourist arrivals, increased travel by Moroccans living abroad, and the expansion of the Kingdom’s international air network.

The results further strengthen Morocco’s position as an increasingly attractive tourism and investment destination, supported by ongoing airport infrastructure upgrades, improved passenger services, and preparations for major international events, particularly the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The National Airports Office is continuing its strategy to expand airport capacity, attract additional airlines, and strengthen international connectivity, reinforcing Morocco’s role as a regional aviation hub linking Africa, Europe, and global markets.
