Morocco’s pharmaceutical industry has achieved a significant international milestone after Galenica announced the export of its first shipment of pharmaceutical products to Russia, following full compliance with the regulatory and technical standards required by the Eurasian Economic Union.
The achievement makes Galenica the first Moroccan, Arab and African pharmaceutical company to obtain the necessary certifications and marketing authorizations to distribute its medicines across the Eurasian Economic Union, which comprises Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Russia’s Trade Mission in Morocco confirmed the arrival of the first Moroccan pharmaceutical shipment, describing it as the outcome of years of investment in aligning production facilities with internationally recognized Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory requirements.
The export marks another step in Morocco’s efforts to strengthen pharmaceutical sovereignty, expand high-value industrial exports and position its pharmaceutical sector as a competitive player in global healthcare markets.
