The city of Tangier hosted an international forum focused on exchanging expertise and best practices regarding care protocols for children in vulnerable situations, as part of a trilateral cooperation project involving Morocco, Senegal and Spain.
Held at the headquarters of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Regional Council, the event brought together institutional representatives, child protection specialists and social professionals. The initiative is implemented in partnership with Senegal’s Child Protection Support Unit (CAPE), the Andalusian Agency for International Development Cooperation (AACID) and Morocco’s National Cooperation Foundation.
Participants reviewed successful experiences in areas such as second-chance education, psychosocial support, sports-based social inclusion and social engineering, while proposing recommendations to strengthen institutional coordination and improve child protection protocols.
The Regional Council reaffirmed its commitment to international cooperation projects aimed at enhancing social policies, strengthening child protection systems and promoting the best interests of children through sustainable partnerships and improved care services.
