The French national Savate team will hold a training camp in Morocco from July 16 to 19 as part of its preparations for the World Championships scheduled for September. The camp is being organized at the invitation of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Savate and Similar Disciplines.
The event comes at a time of growing cooperation between Morocco and France and coincides with the official visit of the French Prime Minister to the Kingdom, giving the training camp a broader diplomatic dimension that highlights the growing role of sport in strengthening bilateral relations.
The program includes an official reception for the French delegation attended by Moroccan continental Savate champions, representatives of Moroccan and French institutions, and cooperation partners, providing an opportunity to exchange expertise and deepen collaboration in sport, youth development and training.
The event will also feature the presentation of the African Savate Academy project, led by Royal Moroccan Federation President Khalid El Kandili. The initiative aims to establish a continental center for sports education, host international training camps and competitions, and promote youth inclusion through sport.
According to the organizers, the initiative illustrates how sport has become an effective tool for international cooperation while reinforcing the strategic partnership between Morocco and France and supporting long-term development initiatives across Africa.
