The second edition of the Assises de l’Excellence Achats concluded successfully in Marrakech, bringing together procurement executives, business leaders, policymakers and industry experts to discuss the future of procurement and supply chain management in Morocco.
Held under the theme “Innovate – Collaborate – Perform in Tomorrow’s Procurement,” the conference highlighted the growing role of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in improving operational performance and strengthening business competitiveness.
As a strategic partner of the event, SEMS showcased its advanced Source-to-Pay digital solutions and presented the potential of Agentic Artificial Intelligence in procurement. SEMS Chief Executive Officer Abdelilah El Attari emphasized that artificial intelligence has become a key driver of operational efficiency, intelligent automation and long-term value creation for modern organizations.
CNA Morocco President Younes Ouahman noted that procurement has evolved into a strategic function supporting competitiveness, economic resilience and corporate sovereignty while strengthening relationships between organizations and their business ecosystems.
The event also featured the Procurement Excellence Awards Morocco 2026, recognizing organizations for outstanding achievements in innovation, sustainability and digital transformation. Poste Maroc received the Strategic Procurement Excellence Award, Laprophan (Flowlink) won both the Supplier Innovation & Collaboration Award and the Special Jury Award, Royal Air Maroc was recognized for Responsible Procurement & Sustainable Impact and shared the Local & African Ecosystem Development Award with Managem, while Holcim received the Digital Transformation & Artificial Intelligence Award.
Building on the success of this edition, the organizers announced new regional and sector-specific initiatives aimed at promoting innovation, accelerating digital transformation and enhancing Morocco’s industrial and economic competitiveness.
