Unknown burglars took advantage of the homeowners’ absence during Morocco’s World Cup match against Canada to break into a house in the Mghogha district of Tangier and steal valuable belongings.
The stolen items included gold jewelry, watches, and other valuables with an estimated total value of around 100,000 Moroccan dirhams.
According to preliminary information, the suspects deliberately chose the match time to carry out the burglary, knowing the house would be empty while many residents were focused on the football game.
Moroccan police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances of the burglary, identify those responsible, and recover the stolen property.
