Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has officially announced the 2026-2027 academic calendar, confirming that classes will begin on September 7, 2026, and conclude on May 29, 2027, under the theme “For a Quality Public School for All.”
According to the ministry, administrative staff, inspectors, and educational planning officials will return to work on September 1, while teachers will resume their duties on September 2 to prepare schools for the new academic year.
Students in primary, lower secondary, upper secondary schools, and the second year of Higher Technician Certificate preparatory programs will officially return to classrooms on September 7.
The ministry will continue applying its alternating academic calendar, with six to seven weeks of classes followed by one week of holidays, aiming to provide a better balance between learning and rest while improving educational outcomes.
The official schedule also outlines the dates for continuous assessments, national examinations, and the main educational and administrative milestones throughout the school year.
