Portuguese coach João Pedro Sacramento has become one of the most respected members of Morocco’s national team coaching staff thanks to his commitment and genuine passion for the Atlas Lions.
Since joining head coach Mohamed Ouahbi’s technical team, Sacramento has described representing Morocco as “a great honour and responsibility,” emphasizing that football in Morocco is much more than a sport—it is part of the country’s identity.
Having previously worked alongside José Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur and AS Roma, as well as with Lille and Watford, Sacramento brings extensive tactical and technical expertise to the Moroccan national team.
His emotional celebrations and constant involvement during Morocco’s 2026 FIFA World Cup matches have earned him the admiration of Moroccan supporters, who now regard him as one of their own.
