Morocco’s passport has been ranked first in the Maghreb and fifth in Africa in the 2026 Global Passport Index published by Global Citizen Solutions, earning 47.8 out of 100 points.
The report, which assessed 197 countries and territories using 14 indicators, highlights Morocco’s strong regional position and visa-free travel opportunities while noting that expanding reciprocal visa agreements could further improve its ranking.
The study also confirms Europe’s continued dominance in the global rankings, with Sweden leading the index and Afghanistan ranking last.
