Morocco’s Ministry of Health and Social Protection has urged citizens to follow preventive health measures as high temperatures continue to affect several parts of the country.
The ministry advised people to drink plenty of water, avoid going outdoors between noon and 4 p.m., stay in cool and well-ventilated places, wear light clothing and avoid unnecessary physical exertion.
Special attention should be given to children, older adults, pregnant women, people with chronic illnesses and those working outdoors.
The ministry also urged anyone experiencing symptoms such as high fever, dizziness, severe thirst, cramps or confusion to seek immediate medical attention.
