The Arab Parliament has praised the continued efforts of King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in supporting the Palestinian cause, highlighting Morocco’s role in defending Jerusalem and supporting its residents.
The position was expressed in a resolution on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, adopted during the third plenary session of the second ordinary session of the fourth legislative term, held on Tuesday in Cairo. The resolution commended the work of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, operating under the Al-Quds Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI, for preserving the city’s identity, protecting its legal status, and supporting the resilience of its inhabitants.
The resolution also called on Arab, regional, and international parliaments to establish permanent committees dedicated to Palestine within their institutional structures, with the aim of monitoring developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and coordinating parliamentary initiatives in support of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
According to the Arab Parliament, the initiative seeks to strengthen parliamentary support for the Palestinian cause at the regional and international levels while promoting coordinated efforts to maintain the issue among the priorities of parliamentary action worldwide.
