Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, received Iraq’s Ambassador to Morocco, Haider Shiaa Al-Barrak, on Thursday at the headquarters of Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security in Rabat.
The meeting focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of public security and intelligence, including the exchange of expertise, technical assistance, and access to police training programs.
Both sides also reviewed the current level of security cooperation between Morocco and Iraq and exchanged views on regional and international security issues of mutual concern, particularly challenges related to international terrorism and cross-border security threats.
The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Morocco and Iraq to deepen their security partnership and expand cooperation in security and intelligence matters, with the aim of enhancing stability and effectively addressing common threats.
